Is This The Beast Arising?

July 8, 2014

beastThe expansion and increasing power of the “Islamic State” is stunning–from relatively obscure to a recognized, regional player in a month. They have put out a map and timeline for a Caliphate that is eerily similar to what we find in ‘End Times’ Bible passages:

Rev 6:8, “I looked, and behold, an ashen horse; and he who sat on it had the name Death; and Hades was following with him. Authority was given to them over a fourth of the earth, to kill with sword and with famine and with pestilence and by the wild beasts of the earth.”

Rev 13:4,5, “they worshiped the dragon because he gave his authority to the beast; and they worshiped the beast, saying, “Who is like the beast, and who is able to wage war with him?” 5 There was given to him a mouth speaking arrogant words and blasphemies, and authority to act for forty-two months was given to him

This map and article
describe the Islamic State’s geography conquest aims and their timeline to achieve them–its very close to 1/4 of the earth, both by population and area, stretching nearly the length of the “10-40 Window”.   They believe they can achieve their goal in 5 years, but judging by their recent speed overtaking large areas of Syria and Iraq its not unreasonable to wonder if they could achieve it in 3-4 years.

Though mapAbu Bakr al-Baghdadi has a $10 million bounty on his head, since he was formally  in US custody, he continues to gain strength and its difficult to imagine the US carrying out a raid intended to kill him if he takes on the mantle of Head of a new Islamic State.  Already on Twitter we are seeing a constant stream of Muslims giving him bayah, or Islamic religious allegiance, due to the Caliph, the combined spiritual/governmental/military head of the Ummah, the worldwide Muslim populace.

While its far from a sure thing that the new Islamic State is the final incarnation of the seven-headed Beast of Revelation, this one bears watching.

One thing is for sure, we need to be praying for our suffering brethren in areas under the control of IS–deliverance yes, but faithfulness to the end, since we know there will be a great reward in the coming kingdom of Messiah.  And we need to pray for Israel–Biblically its apparent that great hardships are headed their way. Father, give your people peace, and let them see and know the Prince of Peace, Christ Jesus.

Irish Pastor Under ‘Hate Crime’ Investigation for Sunday Sermon Against Islam

June 1, 2014

Speaking the truth about this “religion” that is resulting in slavery, mutilation, rape, torture and death across the globe should not be a crime…

BELFAST, NortJames-McConnell-300x229hern Ireland – A 75-year-old Irish preacher was subjected to a police probe after he condemned Islam in a sermon and was accused of ‘hate mongering.’

James McConnell, pastor of the Whitewell Metropolitan Church in North Belfast, Ireland, discussed the religion of Islam during an evening sermon on Sunday, May 18th. During the sermon, McConnell denounced Islam and said the contrast between it and Christianity is stark.

“The God we worship and serve this evening is not Allah,” he proclaimed, according to a video of his sermon. “The Muslim god—Allah—is a heathen deity. Allah is a cruel deity. Allah is a demon deity.”

McConnell then criticized the “foolish” British government for attempting to appease Muslims financially, saying Islam is “a doctrine spawned in hell.” He also noted that Christians around the world are persecuted for their faith by the “fanatical worshipers” of Allah.

According to the Belfast Telegraph, McConnell’s remarks were inspired by the current plight of Meriam Ibrahim—a professing Orthodox Christian woman in Sudan. As previously reported, Ibrahim was sentenced to hang after she was convicted of apostasy for refusing to deny her faith and convert to Islam.

Following McConnell’s May 18th sermon, the Police Service of Northern Ireland investigated the preacher for allegations of hate crime. Northern Ireland’s Deputy First Minister Martin McGuinness described the preacher’s comments as “hate mongering” and said the anti-Muslim statements “must be condemned in the strongest possible terms.”

“Coming in the wake of recent spate of disgraceful racist attacks against families in parts of Belfast and elsewhere, such inflammatory comments only serve to fuel hatred,” McGuinness added, according to the Daily Mirror. “[It is] essential that there is a full and thorough investigation of these comments and their potential to generate further racist attacks.”

After McConnell’s sermon was publicized, numerous people denounced his message through social media and online comment threads. Furthemore, the Whitewell Metropolitan Church’s website was attacked by hackers and—as of late this week—was  unavailable.

“There are currently attempts to hack and compromise our church website,” the church’s Facebook page explains. “The website is temporarily unavailable. Please be patient as we investigate further.”

In the midst of the attacks from non-Christians, many others have rallied to support McConell. Northern Ireland First Minister Peter Robinson said he has personally visited Whitewell Metropolitan Church several times and was thoroughly impressed by McConnell’s preaching.

“There isn’t an ounce of hatred in his bones,” Robinson stated in a newspaper interview. “This is someone who preaches the gospel.”

Later, Robinson clarified his comment in a statement:

“I strongly believe that Pastor James McConnell has the right to freedom of speech,” he explained. “I will defend his right just as I defend the right of others to express views with which I disagree. People have the right to express their differing views and indeed the essence of democracy is the ability to do so in a way that is free from fear and intimidation.”

Others have supported McConnell through social media.

“What Pastor McConnell said is simply the correct Christian standpoint, accurately reflecting the Biblical evaluation of good and evil,” one commenter noted.

“Sometimes the cold truth is what is needed,” another wrote. “If it does not exalt the name of Jesus then it is spawned in hell. Continue to stand for the gospel and shame on any man of God who turns on another for speaking truth.”

Islam: How to Treat Women

January 30, 2014

burkaBlame them for their mistreatment: Hadith, Bukhari, 5096, “[Muhammad said] The worst sin and distraction from virtue that I have left for man is woman …”

Beat them: Qur’an Sura 38:44, ”And take in your hand a green branch and beat her with it, and do not break your oath …”

Ignore it when another man beats his wife: Hadith, Abu Dawud, 2142, “The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: A man will not be asked as to why he beat his wife …”

Treat them as mentally inferior to men: Hadith, Bukhari 6:301, “[Muhammad] said, ‘Is not the evidence of two women equal to the witness of one man? … This is the deficiency in her intelligence.’”

Use corporal punishment on them; men are superior to them: Qur’an Sura 4:34, “Men have authority over women because [Allah] has made the one superior to the other… Good women are obedient… As for those from whom you fear disobedience, admonish them and send them to beds apart and beat them. Then if they obey you, take no further action against them …”

Imprison them in their own homes: Qur’an Sura 33:33a, “And abide quietly in your homes, and do not flaunt your charms [as women] as they used to flaunt them in the old days of pagan ignorance; and be constant in prayer, and render the purifying dues, and pay heed unto God and His Apostle …”

Understand that most of them end up in Hell: Hadith, Bukhari 5196, “[Muhammad said] When I stood on the door of hell, I saw most of its inhabitants were women …”

Rape them when they are captured: Qur’an Sura 33:50a, “O Prophet! Lo! We have made lawful unto thee … those [women] whom Allah hath given thee as spoils of war …”

Rape your wife whenever you like: Qur’an Sura 2:223, “Your wives are your fields, so go into your fields whichever way you like… Be mindful of [Allah]: remember that you will meet Him …”

“Marry” more than one and treat them as possessions: Qur’an Sura 4:3,  “Marry such women as seem good to you, two and three and four; but if you fear that you will not do justice (between them), then (marry) only one or what your right hands possess…”

Give them a lesser inheritance than their brothers: Qur’an Sura 4:11, “Allah instructs you concerning your children: for the male, what is equal to the share of two females. But if there are [only] daughters, two or more, for them is two thirds of one’s estate. And if there is only one, for her is half…”

Dump them as a wife and replace them at will: Qur’an Sura 4:20, “But if you want to replace one wife with another and you have given one of them a great amount [in gifts], do not take [back] from it anything. Would you take it in injustice and manifest sin?”

The Islamic Heaven: A Pornographic Brothel

December 30, 2012

Article By Joseph Chambers

I found this article on the True Light Ministries Blog here and thought it was worth sharing. This should clearly illustrate that Islam is not just another “great world religion” but a dark & evil counterfeit by that liar, thief and killer, Satan.

iranwomenprisonResearching the religions of the world for a view of their “eternal heavens” is a hopeless venture. If these religions are judged by the futures they offer, they are a sad spectacle. Christianity is the one and only faith that promises a simple and beautiful life in a glorious setting worthy of human existence. All the rest of the world’s religions show signs of being created by a fallen mind or minds with no concept of a meaningful eternal life.

The saddest of all these religions is the Islamic faith. While many politicians and religious leaders claim that the Islam god, Allah, is the same god as the Judeo-Christian God, the facts confirm that this is a false claim. Nothing proves this more absolutely than the different theologies of heaven.

First, let’s look at the Islamic theology of heaven. Their heaven is a sex brothel, where women will spend eternity as sex slaves. Any woman that would ever embrace Islam must be ignorant of this fact. What woman would want to be one of the many wives, along with seventy-two virgins, that serve one man with sex for eternity?

The prophet Mohammed described his view with the following words, “The smallest reward for the people of paradise is an abode where there are 80,000 servants and 72 wives, over which stands a dome decorated with pearls, aquamarine, and ruby, as wide as the distance from Al-Jabiyyah [a Damascus suburb] to Sana’a .” (Surah Al-Rahman 55, 72, as interpreted by Ibn Kathir, who died in 1373 CE).

Here are quotes directly from the Koran:

“As for the righteous, they shall surely triumph. Theirs shall be gardens and vineyards, and high-bosomed virgins for companions: a truly overflowing cup.” (Koran 78:31)

“…They will sit with bashful, dark-eyed virgins, as chaste as the sheltered eggs of ostriches.” (Koran 37:40-48) “…Yes and We shall wed them to dark-eyed houris (beautiful virgins).” (Koran 44:51-55)“…They shall recline on couches ranged in rows. To dark-eyed houris (virgins) we shall wed them…” (Koran 52:17-20)

“In them will be bashful virgins neither man nor Jinn will have touched before. Then which of the favours of your Lord will you deny?” (Koran 55:56-57)

“Virgins as fair as corals and rubies.  Then which of the favours of your Lord will you deny?” (Koran 55:57-58)

“…We created the houris (the beautiful women) and made them virgins, loving companions for those on the right hand…” (Koran 56:7-40)

“In each there shall be virgins chaste and fair… Dark eyed virgins sheltered in their tents whom neither man nor Jinn will have touched before…”  (Koran 55:70-77)

Not only are there virgins in multiplied numbers, but, also, dashing and handsome young boys ready to be devoured in homosexual activities. The Islam pornographic brothel includes the darkest possible sin of men raping innocent young boys. These quotes from the Koran document these horrible acts:

“Round about them will serve, to them, boys (handsome) as pearls well-guarded.” (Koran 52:24)

“Round about them will serve boys of perpetual freshness.” (Koran 56:17) “And round about them will serve boys of perpetual freshness: if thou seest them, thou wouldst think them scattered pearls.” (Koran 76:19)  While I try to spare you the descriptive and vulgar language that extends far beyond what I am writing, I must mention the sex market promised by Prophet Mohammed. In the Hadiths, Mohammed extends the talk of virgins and boys to promise a free sex market, where there is no end of choices for additional sex beyond the wives, 72 virgins, and young boys. “Ali reported that the Apostle of Allah said, ‘There is in Paradise a market wherein there will be no buying or selling, but will consist of men and women. When a man desires a beauty, he will have intercourse with them.’” (Al Hadis, Vol. 4, p. 172, No. 34)

The only possible creator of this debauchery is the Prince of Darkness, the fallen malevolent, the blasphemer of the Father – Lucifer himself. This fallen prince and all his discontented angels and men are on a subway to Hell. This subway is gaining speed and is soon to arrive at the depot of darkness. When we stop to compare the Christian Heaven that fills the Bible from Genesis to Revelation with the Islamic heaven (Paradise), we are left with nothing to compare. The Islamic heaven is not a heaven after all, but a brothel where sick men indulge in lustful activities uninhibited by moral restraints. I cannot find one promise to the Islamic women except the task of watching the men live out the wildest description of sex orgies ever recorded. There is doubtless no pornographic book more vulgar and debauched than the Islamic theology of their heaven. A sex market that men can visit and choose a woman at will with which to have open sex has to be at the very bottom of the depravity of fallen mankind. The Heaven promised in the Holy Bible is rich, pure, God-centered, and reserved for the pure saints that have turned from the filthy world of lust. Our glorified bodies will exemplify the highest morality possible. This glorious life is so far removed from the base appetite of sex that the thought of such will not even come to mind. The joy of our Father and our Savior, Jesus Christ, will be the highest expression of eternal life. The New Heaven and the New Earth will be centered round a New Jerusalem so spectacular that our imagination can only see the blinding light of it all.

The city of twelve levels will be surrounded by jasper walls and pearly gates. Each of the twelve foundations will be enhanced by priceless jewels from pure sapphires to the royal purple amethysts. Streets will be paved with gold and the Light of the city will be the Lord Jesus Christ – the Light of the world. Angels will welcome the saints as they exit and/or enter the city. The River of Life will flow out of God’s throne and the Tree of Life will line its banks.

Our Bible is filled with the way that leads to this eternal reward. Jesus Christ paid the debt of sin for all that choose to surrender to His eternal will. The Heaven of our Holy Bible is a pure place; purchased by His pure blood and offered to every soul that will turn from the lust of life to the “Way, the Truth, and the Life” — Jesus Christ.

Day 7 (Saturday), Day 1 (Sunday) and Day 6 (Friday) in the Bible, and What They Tell Us About Judaism, Christianity and Islam

December 3, 2012

666Saturday, the seventh day of creation, is the day God rested from His works.  It eventually became known as Shabbat or Sabbath, meaning “rest” or “cessation”. In Genesis 2:3, of the 7th Day, it says that “God blessed the seventh day and sanctified it, because in it He rested from all His work which God had created and made.”  In Exodus 20:10 God commanded His people under the Law to rest on the seventh day, which the Jews still do up to the present.

The number ‘7’ appears over and over throughout the Bible, over 700 times.  In scripture, seven symbolizes completeness or perfection, and is also symbolic of God—there are seven Feasts of the Lord in Leviticus 23, and seven Spirits of God (again, representing perfection, not an amount) in the Book of Revelation.

By observing the Sabbath, the Hebrew people demonstrated submission to God’s revelation and His Law, which is the tutor leading us to Christ (Gal 3:24).  The Law shuts up all under sin so that the promise might be given to those who believe in Jesus (Gal 3:22).

Sunday, the first day of the week, is the day of Resurrection (Mt 28:1).  Sunday is the day that Yeshua triumphed over death and put an end to the curse of the Law (Deut 27:26 and Gal 3:13).  By having faith in Christ, we experience the true rest of which the weekly Sabbath was only a foreshadow (Col 2:16,17; Heb 4:8-10).

The number ‘1’ represents Christ; He was raised on the 1st day of the week, He is the firstborn of all creation, and is the first fruits of those to be resurrected.  In Him there is neither Jew nor Greek, but we are one in Him (Gal 3:28).  Jesus gave his one “new commandment” the night He was betrayed:  Love one another.  The Spirit descended the first day of the week, a Sunday (Pentecost is the 7th Sunday after the Feast of First Fruits, or the Resurrection Day).  Christians worshiped on Sunday from the earliest times as recorded in history and the Bible (Acts 20:7; 1 Cor 16:2; Rev 1:10).

Friday, the sixth day of the week, is perhaps the crucifixion day or Passover, the day Yeshua was killed, although there is a healthy debate about that.  We do know man was created on the 6th day (Gen 1:26-31), and that this number is associated with mankind and judgment—Noah was six hundred years old when the flood came upon the earth (Gen 7:6) and the number of the Beast in Rev 12 is “6-6-6”.  Man was to work for 6 days (Exo 20:9) before the Sabbath, so six represents human effort and toiling.  When Christ was on the cross, darkness came in the sixth hour (Mk 15:33).

The number ‘6’ represents Man and his fleshly efforts.  Islam has chosen Friday as its day of worship.  Islam glorifies the number ‘6’ (see this website, for instance).  Friday precedes the Sabbath, commanded by the Law, usurping the prerogative of God to require righteousness and then to provide the means to achieve it.  Islam is lawless; Paul describes a “man” of lawlessness who will appear before the second coming of Jesus (2 Thes 2:1-3).  This describes Islam.  It rejects the Law of God revealed by the Sabbath and the Righteousness of God, revealed by the resurrection on a Sunday.

Book Review: “Hidden in Plain Sight” by Mark Davidson

October 4, 2012

“Hidden in Plain Sight” by Mark Davidson, Xulon Press, 2011

Mr Davidson has written a book that puts forward a new theory on ‘End Times’ biblical prophecy leading up to the emergence of the Antichrist and preceding the return of Jesus Christ, predicted in the Bible.  It approaches these prophecies from the increasingly common viewpoint that it is the Islamic world (the countries surrounding Israel) that produces Antichrist and not a “Revived Roman Empire” of 10 Western European nations, the prevailing understanding over the last half century.  This new view has also been advocated in such books as “Islamic Antichrist” and “Mideast Beast” by Joel Richardson, one its most well-known proponents.  It is also discussed every week on CBN by Erick Stakelbeck.  Many Christians are turning to this view as events in the Middle East are leading toward Islam as the “End Times Beast” rather than Western Europe.  I agree that there is much biblical support for the Islamic End Times paradigm.

Briefly, Mark sees parallels in three prophetic visions, two in the Book of Daniel and one in Revelation.  Daniel Chapter 7 discusses four beasts – a lion, a bear, a leopard and a terrible beast, while Daniel 8 tells the story of two, a ram and a goat.  The Revelation vision that he relates are the four horsemen of the sealed scrolls – they are white, red, black and pale green, in that order.  Mr. Davidson believes that all three visions are discussing the same period of time, just prior to the “Tribulation”, a 7-seven year period of regional and perhaps world-wide trauma that (some Christians believe) immediately precedes the return of Christ.

Here is the unique aspect of this book:  Davidson’s view that Daniel 7 is not “rerunning” prophecies in Daniel 2 as most current commentators believe, but is previewing End Times events with “Four Signposts”.  Briefly, these are:

  1. the lion = Saddam Hussein and Iraq (already completed),
  2. the bear = Iran invading Islamic Countries to its south, west and north (soon to occur),
  3. the four-headed leopard = Turkey and a confederation of Sunni nations that repel Shiite Iran (further in the future), and
  4. the terrible beast = the Antichrist empire that subsumes the previous three just before the Tribulation.

He believes that the four horsemen correspond exactly with these and the Daniel 8 Ram and Goat reiterate the 2nd and 3rd of them.

Davidson supports his thesis by first showing that although the Daniel 2 vision of the four-part metallic statue and the Daniel 7 vision of the four animals/beast concern the same four general people-group/empires, Daniel 2 tells the history of these empires during Daniel’s day through the formation of the Islamic Caliphates, while Daniel 7 reprises them during the end times, recapitulating, if you will, their lives in a last effort for greatness before being put down by each subsequent empire.  The book of Daniel self-identifies the first three of these as Babylon, Persia and Greece, while Davidson shows from historical sources that the fourth “terrible beast” can only be the Antichrist.

The strengths of this book include the solid historical research into the empires, their accomplishments and conquests and how they relate to biblical prophecy, particularly  the Islamic Caliphates of the Middle Ages.  He digs up some important events that support the notion that the fourth beast is indeed Islam.  He has included some great maps of the Middle East, graphically showing each phase of his interpretations clearly and understandably.  Mark delves into the original languages, particularly interpretations of Hebrew and Greek words to buttress his points.

As I stated earlier, I too am a believer in the Islamic Antichrist End Time paradigm and I share many beliefs in common with Mark.  In the final analysis however, Mark did not convince me to join him in seeing Daniel 7 as future to us, just preceding ‘the Tribulation.’   I continue to believe that Daniel 2 and Daniel 7 are strongly related to each other (the most common view today, I think he would agree).  What Mark unraveled for us regarding the 2nd chapter I see as being reiterated in the 7th.  I believe the Islamic terrible beast will remain in power (more or less) until Jesus returns.

I thought Mark could have provided more discussion and rationale of his theory that the seven-headed dragon of Revelation 17 consists of nations that all eventually become Muslim; I thought he tried to force this point and I did not understand the need for it.  I also did not see the strong correspondence between the four horseman and the animals/beasts of Daniel 7, however I do agree with his conclusion that the last, green horseman concerns Islam.  I know it was beyond the scope of his topic, but isolating the first 4 scrolls (four horsemen) from the last 3, and for that matter the Trumpets and the Bowls left me wondering how they related; a brief discussion of this would have helped.  Davidson is careful not to assign possible dates to his predictions, and also leaves some room for variance from his theory and how events might transpire.  He writes with an air of humility.

Davidson opened my eyes to some great revelations, particularly in the areas of history relating to Islam destroying the eastern Roman empire headquartered in Constantinople, the evolution of Baal worship into the ‘Allah’ of the Arabian peninsula, and the translation of original language words and their meanings as they relate to End Times realities.  One example is the Greek word is toxon, meaning “bow”, often used for launching poisoned arrows.  The word of course came to mean “poison”; it shows up  in Revelation 6:2 as the bow being carried by the rider on the white horse.  Davidson relates this to Saddam’s WMDs; I’m not ready to agree with him, but it is intriguing.

I learned a great deal from his book and would recommend it to others. I was challenged to examine my beliefs and investigate scripture more closely.  This is always worthwhile. I often find myself adjusting my beliefs as I consider the light given to my brothers and sisters from God’s Word.  This book will certainly help you do that too.
